Calling Strategic Partners: Help Shape the Future of Safari Multicultural Playgroups!
Programme: Safari Multicultural Playgroups & Wraparound Programme
Duration: 12 months
Due: Friday 24 April 2026
Belong Aotearoa is inviting Expressions of Interest (EOI) from experienced individuals or agencies to partner with us on the evolution of our Safari Multicultural Playgroups & Wraparound Programme.
Belong Aotearoa’s Safari Multicultural Playgroups have supported migrant- and refugee-background women and families in Tāmaki Makaurau for over 15 years, providing safe, welcoming spaces that foster connection, confidence, and early childhood development. Complemented by the Safari Wraparound Programme, which offers tailored mentoring support, Safari reached 250 whānau across six sites in 2024–2025, with strong demand exceeding current capacity.
To support the long-term sustainability and growth of Safari, including exploring a potential seventh site in the CBD and potentially evolving the model into a women’s connection hub, we are inviting EOIs from an experienced individual or agency to provide integrated strategic, financial, operational, and analytical expertise over 12 months.

This engagement will produce the following deliverables, focused on actionable insights and practical application:
Business Case and Sustainability Model (Internal): A decision-ready business case for leadership and board, setting out the operating model, cost structure, risks, and a
clear pathway to financial sustainability.
• Stakeholder and Government Engagement Summary (Internal → External): A clear and concise summary of engagement with key stakeholders and government, highlighting constraints, opportunities, and potential actions. This will identify priority partners, alignment with existing programmes, and funding pathways (including new or emerging streams), providing actionable insights to guide both internal planning and external engagement.
• Expansion Feasibility Assessment (Internal): A focused assessment of demand, viability, risks, and enabling conditions for expansion to new site(s), to support internal decision-making and action.
• Investment-Ready Proposal and 3–5 Year Roadmap (External): A funder-ready proposal articulating the value proposition, impact, and funding ask, supported by a clear 3–5-year roadmap outlining staged growth and sustainability milestones.
• Supporting Communications Materials (External): A targeted small suite of materials (eg pitch deck, briefing, summary) designed for engagement with funders, government, and partners.
