Better Together - Peer Support Network

  • Belong Aotearoa Level 2, 8 Virginia Avenue East Auckland, Auckland, 1021 New Zealand (map)

Together we are better. One of the ways we can strengthen connections is through peer support but also by filling our own cup as workers; in order to continue supporting our communities we also need to invest in professional development and doing it through a peer support network, a community of practice, draws on the collective strengths of the network.

There are few spaces and opportunities for staff excluding CEO’s to come together to share, support and learn from one another. The opportunities are even fewer for those outside of the health sector that usually have supervision or peer support built into their profession.

So, if you’re working in the multicultural, settlement and/or systems change sector and wish to join the ‘Better Together’ Peer Support Network, register to join our first gathering.

The first (online) gathering will be an opportunity to hear your ideas to shape this peer support.

We are fortunate to have Annie Ualesi, Co-Founder of CALLED, lead in the facilitation of these sessions; to help build a community of practice that strengthens you in your practice and build support networks across organisations.

The sessions will be a once a month commitment, for 2-3 hours with our first session being the opportunity to shape and co-create them, to make sure that these sessions are beneficial to you and support your own professional development over the next 5 – 6 months.
