Developed from the Civic Dinners concept, the dinners bring people from all walks of life together to have courageous conversation over dinner. A unique aspect of the dinner is that the meaningful conversations over food sparks real and lasting change. With the support of Belong Aotearoa, host and attendees will action issues raised over dinner.
The purpose of this dinner is to bring people together to have conversations that matter, to listen to each other and share our diverse perspectives. We believe meaningful conversation over food can spark real and lasting change.
The dinner is co-hosted with local organisations, with the Otara Intercultural Dinner co-hosted with Red Cross and South Seas Healthcare. The event is strictly by invite. For more information about how to get involved contact communications@belong.org.nz

Immigration New Zealand, as a part of the Refugee Quota Increase Programme, is developing a community engagement framework to support former refugee and wider communities to engage more effectively. The framework seeks to identify and develop strategies, tools and resources to build community cohesion and foster a sense of belonging – and they want to talk to you and your networks!
